Axcentive announced significant steps to further strengthen its Halamid® brand by expanding its distribution channels across Europe.
This initiative underscores the company’s commitment to enhancing access to effective, proven and safe products to meet pathogen challenges on farms.
Halamid® is widely recognised for its quality and expertise, particularly within specialised sectors such as animal health, veterinary hygiene, and targeted segments including poultry, livestock, and aquaculture. The product has a widespread registration and distribution through an international partner network.
Axcentive positions itself as a highly collaborative organisation, working closely with its partners and investing in enduring relationships. While Halamid® is already sold in 60+ countries, Axcentive continues to keep on growing its network with specialised distributors. In 2025, the company added 3 more distribution channels in Europe.
Distributors selected for expertise
Sarah Koehler, Executive Director at Axcentive, commented: “Our growth is not only driven by the performance of our products in practice, but also by an active, dynamic, and carefully selected global network of specialised partners. Our 3 new partners in Europe are recognised for their veterinary hygiene expertise and knowledge in the market. This careful selection of our partners is important, as customers require farm support that is driven by strong expertise, deep market understanding, and dedicated focus within specific segments.”
According to Koehler, these strategic partnerships play a critical role by fostering trust and credibility of Halamid® in local markets and faster response. “They also allow the company to scale globally while maintaining local relevance. Acting as brand ambassadors, our partners contribute to deeper market penetration through their specialisation and help build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.”
More demand for effective products
Building the global network and being able to act fast with local distribution and expertise is important as pathogen control becomes an ever crucial and important
part of successful and sustainable farming practices. Especially with the ongoing threats of common and new poultry diseases (both bacterial and viral) and certain new pathogen challenges in fish and shrimp- farming make choosing the right production essential.
Patrice Dauvin-Dedise, International Sales Manager at Axcentive, explains: “Halamid® is seen as one of the most efficacious disinfectants against pathogens, as it is powerful and with significantly higher endurance than other types of disinfectants such as peroxygens, phenols and QAC-aldehyde blends. Because it is mild for environment, animals, humans, and metals and surfaces, we see increased demand for our products, especially in poultry and livestock. With this increased demand, we have therefore been very active in selecting new distribution partners over the last years.”
Internal and external event presence
Besides expanding the network in numbers, Axcentive also promotes continuous collaboration through knowledge sharing, training initiatives, and joint development. A key example is the first Halamid® conference in October 2025, which brought together European distributors and partners in Shrewsbury, UK. This event supports alignment with evolving market needs, product applications, and new opportunities.
In 2026, Axcentive will showcase Halamid® at major international events, including Aquaculture Europe (Slovenia, September) and EuroTier (Germany, November). Distributors will also participate in local scientific meetings this year, such as a disinfection and hygiene conference in the Czech Republic (May) and the first Greek Aquaculture Scientific Conference (May). These events further strengthen visibility, scientific credibility, and the role of Halamid® in preventive and outbreak disinfection in veterinary practice.
