Transportation
EXOCOAT™ Ceramic+ provides trains, subways, and buses with a hard, invisible ceramic shield that repels paint, markers, grime, and street dirt, enabling effortless graffiti removal without damaging the substrate.
Its ultra-low surface energy and hydrophobic/oleophobic chemistry deliver top-tier anti-graffiti performance, achieving G0 and highest ASTM/NF ratings with cleaning possible using only water or a dry cloth.
The coating withstands UV, chemicals, abrasion, and heavy urban wear, restoring dull surfaces and extending maintenance intervals for public transport fleets.
For trucks and trailers, EXOCOAT™ sol-gel pretreatments create a thin, covalently bonded SiO₂ conversion layer that passivates aluminum and offers a chromium-free, REACH-compliant alternative to traditional primers.
These hybrid layers provide excellent adhesion, scratch resistance (up to 9H), >3000hrs NSS corrosion resistance, and strong intercoat bonding—delivering long-lasting durability under vibration, salt exposure, and mechanical stress.

Key Application Areas
Smart and functional coatings add advanced capabilities to surfaces, such as self-cleaning, corrosion resistance, or energy efficiency, helping products perform better and last longer.
They also support sustainability by reducing maintenance needs and environmental impact, making them a smart choice for modern industries and consumers.

Trains, subway, bus
EXOCOAT™ Ceramic+ creates a hard, invisible ceramic shield with ultra-low surface energy, allowing graffiti to be wiped away effortlessly without damaging the substrate.
Unlike conventional polyurethane coatings, it actively repels paint, markers, grime, and street dirt thanks to its hydrophobic and oleophobic chemistry.
Certified to top international anti-graffiti standards (NF31-112 and ASTM D6578), it achieves the highest anti-graffiti ratings, enabling full graffiti removal with only water or a dry cloth.
Its UV-resistant, chemical-resistant, and abrasion-resistant ceramic film restores and preserves dull surfaces while ensuring long-term durability in demanding urban environments.
Ideal for trains, subways, buses, and metal cladding, EXOCOAT™ Ceramic+ offers a cost-effective, long-lasting alternative to frequent repainting and surface restoration.
Trucks
Sol-gel pretreatments create a thin, chemically bonded SiO₂-based conversion layer that passivates aluminum and provides a durable, chromium-free alternative to traditional primers.
These hybrid coatings form a dense inorganic–organic network with excellent adhesion, scratch resistance (up to 9H), and strong intercoat bonding to epoxy and PU topcoats—ideal for large aluminum truck trailers exposed to road salt and mechanical stress.
EXOCOAT™ sol-gel systems already demonstrate >3000hrs NSS corrosion resistance on Aluminum 7000 alloys and can be spray-applied or dip-applied at low film thickness (<1 μm), keeping weight and material usage low.
Because the layer is covalently anchored, it minimizes filiform corrosion and blistering—two common failure modes in aluminum trailers subjected to constant vibration and humidity cycles.
With full REACH-compliance and zero use of Cr(VI)/Cr(III), EXOCOAT™ sol-gel technology offers a sustainable, cost-effective upgrade for trailer manufacturers aiming to improve durability, simplify pretreatment, and meet evolving regulations.
