HALAMID® in Poultry

An effective biosecurity program based on Halamid® brings the total bacterial and viral load in the poultry house down to a safe level. Halamid® eradicates all major poultry pathogens such as salmonella, avian influenza, campylobacter, New Castle disease or gumboro at 0.5% (1:200), following international norms. Hence it gives vital support to poultry health programs while at the same time reducing the need to use antibiotics to a minimum. Allowing staff to use one single product for several risk areas at a time quickly creates efficiency in work and the need for less disinfectant stock resulting in lower costs and all-round improvement.

Hatching eggs or eggs for vaccines require to be pathogen free. Therefore, many operators use Halamid® in these applications because they value Halamid® for its proven efficacy on many pathogens and mildness to the users and the equipment.

Drinking water will see pathogen develop in the water tank rapidly. Halamid® keeps drinking water’s pathogen load under control without affecting poultry’s drinking habits. Also it can be used to disinfect the water line between two flocks.

Because it is powerful on pathogen, non-corrosive to metals, rubbers, and plastics, and is not remanent, Halamid® is the disinfectant of choice for biosecurity protocols of poultry vehicles. It will not leave a greasy film on the windows and not corrode the metal structures.
