PTS Acid can be used in a wide variety of chemical reactions, including pharma applications. It can serve as a building block, or to make the salt of an API or target molecule. The p-TSA salt of an API is often more stable or better bio-available than the pure API. Alternatively, making the p-TSA salt is a good method of purifying the API in the last step of production.

Fatty acid esterification, Aldol and enol reactions, Nitrosations of alkenes, Synthesis of azo dyes, and Synthesis of various other dyes and pigments
