Ablative antifouling coatings
Ablative antifouling coatings need smooth, uniform surfaces, which can be obtained using KETJENFLEX® 8. KETJENFLEX® 8 supports film formation and gives adhesion promotion on lower layers, provides oil, solvent, and water resistance. Moreover it is UV and thermally stable.
Compatible systems: Soluble Matrix Ablative Antifouling Coatings, Insoluble Matrix Ablitive Antifouling Coatings, and Self Polishing Ablitive Antifouling Coatings
Nitrocellulose wood coatings
Formulate phthalate free, flexible and smooth wood coating systems using KETJENFLEX® plasticizers
Compatible systems:
• Nitrocellulose
• Nitrocellulose – Alkyd resins
• Cellulose acetate butyrates
Acid cure wood coatings
Cost effective woodcoatings can be formulated from aminoresins in combination with polyols catalysed by KETJENFLEX® CP.
Compatible systems:
• Melamine – alkyd + polyol
• Polyesterpolyol + Amino resin
