General Information:

EXOCOAT^TM 143 is a high-performance coating resin to be used to create durable easy to clean finishes or anti-graffiti coatings.

Description and Application:

EXOCOAT^TM 143 is an inorganic nano-resin capable of bonding to various substrates. Strong bonding to substrates such as steel, aluminium, glass and plastics like PC, PMMA and ABS as well as old coating layers can be expected.

EXOCOAT^TM 143 can function as stand-alone resin at a layer thickness of 0.5 to 2 µm to form a durable finish that is easy to clean, very hydrophobic (contact angle >105°) and oleophobic, moreover it is very durable and heat resistant up to 600°C. When diluted in for example butyl acetate it can be applied as thin polished, ceramic coating for automotive aftercare. Do not apply a dry film layer of more than 25 µm as cracking may occur.

A key performance feature of EXOCOAT^TM 143 based coatings is the anti-graffiti performance on non-porous substrates. Either graffiti paints do not stick or will be easily removable by high pressure spray.

EXOCOAT^TM 143 based paints may be wiped, brushed or sprayed by conventional or robotized (rotational bell) spray. The coatings are preferably ambient cured but force cure up to 250^oC is possible as well.
